Critical Access Behavioral Health Agencies: How to Survive and Prosper in a Time of Transition
BHM Healthcare Solutions and the North Carolina Council of Community provders have partnered to present a participant centered learning series based on the Harvard Business School (HBS) Case Study Method. Rather than the traditional lecture series, this unique learning opportunity will allow attendees to place themselves in the role of key decision makers as they review real cases, identify problems, and arrive at a set of recommendations while guided by an expert panel which is familiar with CABHAs and the operational challenges tha tthey face.
About the Case Study Method
The Case Study Mehtod, pioneered by Harvard Business School is said to be “a profound educational innovation that presents the greatest challenges confronting leading companies.” Cases which present a wide array of issues are presented, and though the process of dynamic exchange attendees will become “adept at analyzing issues, exercising judgment, and making difficult decisions.” Attendees will be able to submit cases from their organization for inclusion and consideration further opening the opportunity for finding solutions to crucial problems, and resolving issues which are affecting CABHAs in the current climate of reform and Waiver expansion.
Attendees Will Learn the Following:
- Attendees will acquire critical thinking and analytic skills and learn to evaluate organizational issues from a number of different perspectives
- Attendees will learn valuable leadership skills which they can apply withing their own organization for future problem resolution
- Attendees will gain a comprehensive knowledge of how CABHAs can stay abreast of rule and regulation changes with operational flexibility
- How to best maximize CABHA revenue and optimize payment methodology
- Understanding of risk mitigation strategies related to fraud, abuse, and compliance
- How to incentivize staffing and make the most out of Human Resources
- How to operate a CABHA successfully under the new Waiver environment
